RVC Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan – Public Exhibition
Client: Richmond Valley Council
Richmond Valley Council recognises the need to provide and maintain a continuous, safe and equitable pedestrian access network.
Council has secured funding support from the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority to prepare a Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan, or PAMP, for Casino, Evans Head, Coraki, Woodburn and Broadwater.
GeoLINK Consulting has been engaged to work with Council, community representatives, the RTA, NSW Police Force and other key stakeholders to prepare the PAMP.
The PAMP will:
- Identify the needs of all pedestrians, particularly the elderly, wheelchair and scooter users, zimmer frame users, and children and pram users;
- Determine the adequacy of existing pedestrian facilities;
- Identify locations where additional pedestrian facilities are required or existing facilities need to be modified; and
- Develop a prioritised works program to access RTA funding and ensure efficient investment in on-ground infrastructure.
