GeoLINK is looking for a full-time business manager to coordinate its business operations and lead the Business Services Group to provide effective and efficient support to the technical staff. While this is a leadership role, the business manager will be hands-on across a range of business operations, including financial management.

GeoLINK is an environmental, engineering, planning and design consultancy that has been established in northern NSW for over 30 years. We provide a range of services to our clients including planning and environmental assessment, ecology, civil and environmental engineering, urban design and landscape architecture. We have 37 staff working from our offices in Coffs Harbour, Lennox Head and Armidale. With a history of strong client relationships, successful project delivery and a reputation as an employer of choice, GeoLINK is a desirable place to work.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated business manager to join our great team and share in the success of the company. You will have primary responsibility for general business operations, financial management, quality assurance and WHS, as well as coordinating ICT services and providing support across business development, marketing, project delivery and HR. The successful candidate will preferably be based in our Coffs Harbour or Armidale office.

Applicants must address the following selection criteria in their application:

  • Extensive commercial business experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a business manager (or similar) role.
  • Experience leading a team, including delegation and task tracking.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in financial management of a company, including budget preparation, financial reports, expense authorisation and cost tracking.
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the ability to build credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to write clear, concise and accurate correspondence and reports.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office suite).
  • Experience with the implementation of quality management systems.
  • Experience with the implementation of work health and safety systems.
  • High level of self-motivation, self-discipline, initiative and demonstrated ability to undertake tasks and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
