Evans Head SLSC Review of Environmental Factors
Client: Richmond Valley Council
Review of Environmental Factors for extensions to the Evans Head Surf Lifesaving Club.
When Richmond Valley Council decided to extend the Evans Head Surf LIfesaving Club, GeoLINK were asked to prepare a Review of Environmental Factors. It was found that whilst the finished development would not result in an advserse impacts, construction of the extensions would need to be mindful of a nearby maternity colony of the Grey-headed Flying-fox. Colonies of breeding females are succeptable to stress and disturbance as a result of construction noise.
GeoLINK recommended several mitigation measure to be put in place throughout the construction works to remove the possibility of any disturbance to the pregnant females during the final stages of their pregnancy and early stages of motherhood.
