Kirkwood Road Landscape Design
Client: Tweed Shire Council
As part of the masterplan to upgrade South Tweed Heads road network, Kirkwood Road was identified as the first stage of the upgrade. GeoLINK prepared a cost estimate, landscape report, and tender-ready landscape plans, specifications, and documentation in accordance with the Roads and Maritime Services’ specifications and guidelines.
Due to the close proximity of the works to a school, caravan park, crematorium, and urban dwellings, the design proposed to mitigate the visual impacts associated with the new infrastructure. A section of the new road required the installation of an acoustic wall. We were responsible for a report focussing on the aesthetic requirements, addressing elements such as colour, materials and surface finish treatments.
