Maclean-Townsend-Gulmarrad Local Growth Management Strategy
Client: Clarence Valley Council
The Mid-North Coast Regional Strategy identified three potential urban growth areas for the Maclean sub-catchment of Clarence Valley. In order to determine whether it might be appropriate to proceed to rezoning of these sites, Clarence Valley Council engaged GeoLINK to prepare a Local Growth Management Strategy.
This Strategy examined the capability of the sites and also, importantly, determined whether future urban development of the sites could occurr in a sustainable manner, providing a cohesive urban community for the Maclean sub-catchment.
GeoLINK made a number of recommmendations regarding the future of the sites, to ensure that ongoing development adequately addresses local and State sustainable planning principles.
