Jacob grew up on the Coffs Coast and is fond of its lifestyle and environmental qualities. He holds first class Honours from Griffith University (Brisbane) in the Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning and is a full member of the Planning Institute of Australia. Jacob’s honours dissertation investigated the impediments to planning for and developing more sustainable and affordable housing. After working for GeoLINK for a couple of years, Jacob moved to Melbourne where he worked for Yarra City Council (one of Victoria’s most diverse and busiest planning departments) as a Statutory and Senior Statutory Planner for four and half years. In 2017 Jacob returned to Coffs Harbour and re-joined the GeoLINK team. Jacob’s exposure to and practice in metropolitan and regional contexts across two States has given him a broad skill set and sound understanding of built and natural environments and development processes.
