GeoLINK is a multi-disciplinary environmental management and design consultancy established in Northern NSW over 30 years ago, with offices in Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Lennox Head and Lismore. Our principal services are planning, environmental assessment, ecology, civil and environmental engineering and urban design. About the role:
We are seeking experienced, highly motivated field ecologists and fauna spotter-catchers to join our team servicing infrastructure projects in the North Western NSW area. The position is casual, with work expected to occur over a period of 3-6 months, commencing ASAP.  Applicants will have experience undertaking ecologist/fauna spotter-catcher work on construction sites and have knowledge of flora/fauna and threatened species of the North Western NSW Area.

About you:
Ideally you will have:

• Experience in a field ecologist/ fauna spotter-catcher role (preferably on construction projects).
• Sound knowledge of techniques, and experience in all aspects of fauna rescue and handling.
• High level fauna identification skills, including identification of threatened species and their habitats.
• Knowledge of flora and fauna of western slopes and plains.
• Be available to travel away from home for extended periods of time, typically in north western and northern tablelands of NSW.
• Work outside of regular hours of operation.
• Ability to operate a 4WD vehicle.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• High level of self-discipline and initiative to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision.
• Basic GIS skills (ArcGIS) (desirable).
