Qualification: Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management (Honours)

Gemma is an ecologist who provides environmental services for infrastructure, development, conservation and environmental management projects.

Gemma’s skills and experience extends across a broad range of ecological, environmental science and management fields. She has extensive experience in flora and vegetation community identification, fauna surveys, habitat assessments, vegetation management plans, threatened species management plans, and environmental impact assessments.

Gemma has worked on a variety of environmental management projects within multidisciplinary teams. Clients include the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, Transport for NSW, National Parks, local government, large-scale construction infrastructure companies and smaller private clients.

  • Ecological monitoring programs.
  • Prepare management plans for threatened species.
  • Undertake detailed systematic terrestrial flora/ fauna surveys.
  • Biodiversity/ environmental impact assessments.
  • Pre-clearing surveys and spotter/ catcher.
  • Monitoring of revegetation using Landscape Function Analysis methodology.
  • Bioacoustics analysis of fauna species, specialising in microbats and frogs.
